LIGHT CURE COMPOSITE FILLING (BONDING)
Composite fillings are one of the most frequently and currently used aesthetic dental treatments. Today, with the development of bonding agents and composite fillings, it is frequently preferred not only for front teeth but also for back teeth due to its resistance to chewing pressure and aesthetic appearance.
Before starting the treatment, the patient’s tooth color is determined by looking at the color scale and a filling material of the appropriate color is prepared. The biggest advantage of this treatment is that it is usually completed in a single session on the same day and the natural tooth appearance is preserved.
PORCELAIN FILLINGS (INLAY AND ONLAY FILLINGS)
Porcelain fillings are tooth-colored restorations made on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. If more than half of the chewing surface of the tooth is damaged due to tooth fractures or decay, porcelain fillings can be preferred instead of fillings and coatings. Teeth repaired with porcelain fillings have a high durability percentage and their aesthetic compatibility with natural teeth is excellent.
LAMINATE VENEER
Today’s dentistry has brought restorative procedures that require less tissue loss to the forefront. Laminates are prepared with minimal or no intervention on the teeth in some cases. In laminate veneer application, the person’s tooth structure is examined and the appropriate plates are determined for the tooth structure. This treatment method is quite advantageous since the tooth is not cut and reduced in size. Since laminates are made of reinforced thin porcelain, they are resistant to abrasion and staining. At the same time, they are not affected by substances that cause discoloration on the tooth surface over time, such as tea, coffee and cigarettes, and tartar does not form on them.
Laminates provide a perfect fit where the teeth and gums meet. In addition, due to their light permeability, it is possible to achieve an appearance close to natural teeth.
Patients who prefer this treatment method are usually those who have discolored teeth due to antibiotic use or hereditary reasons. In addition, people with worn or broken teeth also prefer this method for dental restoration.
These plates can be used for many years with regular and proper oral care.
ZIRCONIUM CROWN
Zirconia is a white element found freely in nature. The flexural and fracture resistance of zirconium crowns is approximately 2-3 times higher than that of all-ceramic restorations. The fact that it contains many microstructured crystals gives the material its white opaque color. The most important advantage of zirconium-supported crowns over metal-supported porcelains is that they are white in color and that metal reflection is not visible on the gum. Studies have shown that they are as durable as metal-supported restorations. Zirconium-supported restorations are one of the most preferred fixed prosthetic materials in today’s dentistry practices in terms of aesthetics, naturalness, compatibility with the tissue in the mouth and durability. It is also used as a permanent abutment placed on the implant during the construction of implant-supported restorations in the anterior region of the mouth to prevent metal reflection on the gum.
EMAX OR EMPRESS CROWN
Emax crowns are generally preferred in aesthetic dentistry applications in front teeth and single crowns. The light transmittance of Emax crowns is higher than zirconium crowns, as a result, the closest aesthetic appearance to the natural tooth is obtained in cases where Emax crowns are applied.
Since Emax crowns do not contain metal, they do not cause allergic reactions. However, since they do not contain metal, they are not preferred for back grinding teeth that require durability.
It is prepared in the laboratory with computer-aided special scanner and printer systems (Cad-Cam).
It can be used for many years with regular oral care.
PINK AESTHETICS (GUM AESTHETICS)
Gum aesthetics is very important for a perfect smile. For a nice smile, the teeth, gums, jaw and lips must be in harmony. Before any aesthetic treatments are performed on the gums, the gums must be healthy. Healthy gums are pink and have a slightly rough surface. Swollen, red and bleeding gums may require tartar cleaning, curettage, gingivectomy and similar treatments to achieve a healthy appearance.
GUMMY SMILE TREATMENT
Gummy Smile is defined as the gums under the upper lip being visible for more than 2 mm while talking or smiling. Gummy Smile is a significant problem that disrupts the smile aesthetics.
In our clinic, after determining the factors that cause this situation, a solution is provided by selecting the appropriate treatment method. Orthodontics, periodontics, jaw surgery or botox are among the treatment methods applied in this case.
HOLLYWOOD SMILE
It is a personalized ideal smile design. When determining the aesthetic smile; facial features, smile symmetry, alignment and colors of the teeth, lips, gums should be in a certain harmony. In order to implement this system, photographs of the patient’s face and mouth, which include certain rules, should be transferred to the computer environment. With newly developed intraoral scanners, all of the patient’s teeth and gums are also transferred to the virtual environment. After the patient’s face and teeth are matched in the computer system, personalized teeth are selected and teeth can be manipulated as desired. Before the production of the restoration, the design created on the computer with the help of models obtained from the 3D printer is shown to the patient with temporary prosthesis material in the mouth. In this way, the patient can see the procedures to be performed both in the computer environment and in the mouth before starting the treatment. A treatment plan is created by prioritizing health and naturalness for the desired aesthetic smile. Laminate veneer is the most commonly used treatment method for a white, natural and healthy tooth appearance.
